Using Relationship Pace Scorecard
When to use this
Use this when you and someone you are seeing seem to want different speeds, or when you are not sure what your own preferred pace actually is.
How to read the result
There is no correct pace, and the score is not a compatibility rating. What matters is whether both preferences are known and can be discussed. A large gap between two people is workable when it is named early and unworkable when it is discovered by accident months in.
What this tool cannot do
The scorecard reflects your preference today, in one situation. Pace changes with circumstances, and a preference is not a promise. It also cannot tell you what the other person wants; only they can.
Next step
Say your preferred pace out loud to the person, in one sentence, before the difference becomes a conflict. Naming it early makes it a preference you can both plan around; discovering it months in tends to make it feel like a rejection.
